Agliophobia. [noun]

This is the fear of pain and/or suffering. Originally from the Greek word ‘algo’, which means pain and ‘phobos’, which means fear.

Used in a sentence: “I’d never consider getting tattoos since I have agliophobia.”

The longest word in the Oxford English Dictionary is pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis at 45 letters long. Even this box is finding it very hard to contain all the letters! The word refers to a lung disease contracted from the inhalation of very fine silica particles, specifically from a volcano.
